Trent Mongero

Coach Trent Mongero is currently the Head Baseball Coach at North Hall High School "TheTrojans" in Gainesville, Georgia. In 2007 The Trojans tied the (50 year) school record for victories with 21 finihsing the season 21-7. Coach Mongero's other head coaching tenures include three years at Richmond Senior High School "The Raiders" in Richmond County, North Carolina and nine years at Laney High School "The Bucs" in Wilmington, North Carolina. He has been coaching high school baseball for sixteen years. He reached his 200th career high school victory (as a head coach) at the age of 40.

As a college player Trent played his first two years of college baseball in Florida at Florida Southern College and South Florida Community College. After completion of Junior College where his team played for the Florida Junior College State Championhip, he moved to North Carolina to finish his college baseball career playing Div. I baseball at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. After the 1989 season at UNC-W His team won the Regular Season CAA Crown and he was voted CAA "Player of the Year." Before the spring baseball season of 1990, Trent had shoulder surgery on his throwing arm. He signed with the Braves in the June 1990.

Upon graduation, Trent played infield in the Atlanta Braves Organization. He authored "A Major League Guide to Amateur Baseball" from January 2004 through October of 2005.
